Will my photo be accepted?
Yes! Our AI ensures your photo meets all official US passport and visa photo requirements. Final acceptance depends on submitting a photo that accurately represents your current appearance and follows the guidelines provided.
Where can I print my photos?
You can print your files at any photo service like CVS, Walgreens, Walmart, or Target. Simply upload the provided 4×6 template and order a glossy print.
What is your refund policy?
We want you to be completely satisfied with your photo. If your photo isn't accepted for online submission, we recommend trying to crop in slightly closer and submitting again. Can I smile in my passport photo?
Yes, you can smile in your passport photo. Just make sure your eyes are open and your mouth is closed in your photo.
Do I need a new passport if my appearance changed?
Only if your appearance has significantly changed. Minor changes like growing a beard, coloring your hair, or normal aging do not require a new passport. Major changes like significant facial surgery, many large piercings/tattoos, or significant weight loss/gain do require a new application.
Tips for taking a photo of a baby or toddler?
Lay your baby or toddler on a plain white or off-white sheet, or cover a car seat with a plain white sheet. Ensure there are no shadows on their face. It's okay if a baby's eyes are not entirely open; all other children must have their eyes open.
Where can I get my photo taken?
You can use our service (Do It Passport Photos) from the comfort of your home! Alternatively, you can go to an acceptance facility, a retail photo vendor (like CVS or Walgreens), or have a friend take your photo.
Tips for Best Results
Good Lighting
Position yourself facing a window or light source for even coverage. Avoid overhead lighting that creates shadows.
No Eyeglasses
Take off your eyeglasses for your photo. If you cannot remove them for medical reasons, include a signed note from your doctor.
Arm's Length
Hold your phone about 3-4 feet away or have someone take the photo for you to avoid distortion.
Neutral Face
Keep a neutral expression with both eyes open and mouth closed. Natural smiles are also acceptable.
Clear View
Use a clear image of your face without computer software, phone apps, filters, or AI-generated changes.
